Frieren Season 2 Confirmed for 2026—MADHOUSE Returns for the Hit Fantasy Anime!

The highly anticipated Season 2 of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has been officially announced, with a January 2026 release window. The announcement was made at a special talk show featuring main cast members Atsumi Tanezaki (Frieren), Nobuhiko Okamoto (Himmel), and Kana Ichinose (Fern). Alongside the reveal, a new teaser visual was also unveiled.

MADHOUSE Returns for Season 2

Studio MADHOUSE is confirmed to be returning for the second season, maintaining the same high-quality animation and storytelling that made Season 1 a massive success.

During the event, the cast reflected on memorable scenes from Season 1, showcased official Frieren merchandise, and celebrated the series’ continued success. Notably, the manga has surpassed 24 million circulating copies, with Volume 14 set to release on March 18, 2025.

Since its debut, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has been widely praised, earning numerous awards:
