Honkai Star Rail 2.0 Update Details and Release Date

The Honkai Star Rail 2.0 Update, coming out on February 6, 2024! HoYoverse has announced that this update, called “If One Dreams At Midnight,” will bring lots of cool stuff, like new playable characters and a brand new area called Penacony. Let’s dive in and see what’s in store for us!

What’s New in Version 2.0?

In this update, you’ll get to meet three new playable characters: Black Swan, Sparkle, and Misha. They each have their own unique abilities and skills that will make your gaming experience even more exciting. Plus, there’s a new area called Penacony to explore, with new maps and storylines to uncover.

Penacony: A Cosmic Vacation Destination

Penacony used to be a frontier prison, but now it’s a luxurious interstellar hotel called The Reverie. It’s the perfect place for interstellar celebrities to relax and have fun. When you enter the hotel, you can use the Dreampool to enter the Dreamscapes. One of the Dreamscapes, called the Golden Hour, is full of joyous dances and never-ending celebrations. As you explore this area, you’ll come across the Dreams Eye, a device that connects paths in a magical way. And later on, you’ll even gain the ability to Dreamwalk, defying gravity and walking on walls and ceilings!

New Characters: Black Swan, Sparkle, and Misha

Let’s meet the new characters! Black Swan is a mysterious and elegant character with oracle abilities. She can explore the memories of others and turn them into cards. During combat, she can apply a special effect called Arcana to enemies, which gets stronger as the battle goes on.

Sparkle, also known as the Masked Fool, is a master of drama. She can change her identity effortlessly using her collection of masks. She can boost her teammates’ abilities and restore their Skill Points, making her a valuable addition to the team.

Misha is a doorman at The Reverie who dreams of becoming a cosmic adventurer. He’s passionate about learning from the hotel guests and has the ability to freeze enemies during battles.

Other Exciting Features

Version 2.0 also brings back two old friends from Xianzhou: Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan. They will appear in different phases of the update’s event wrap.

And that’s not all! The update also includes system optimizations to make your gaming experience smoother. You’ll have a new feature called Fates Atlas to keep track of the events and plot lines in each world. Enhancing Relics has become easier, with the ability to insert materials while upgrading. You can also filter and switch Relic sets efficiently based on your needs. Plus, marking, discarding, and salvaging Relics have been optimized to help you find materials more easily.
