Dragons Dogma II

Concerns have been raised regarding the challenges associated with commencing a fresh game in Dragon’s Dogma 2 when a save date has already elapsed. Sadly, this feature is not included in the title.

Starting Over

In order to commence a fresh game, players will be required to expunge their entire progress, as this is the only viable alternative at this time.

Step-by-Step Guide

Before proceeding, disable cloud synchronization in Steam, locate the locations where your saved files are concealed, and expunge them entirely. A step-by-step guide on how to accomplish it follows:

Open your Steam library and find Dragons Dogma, click on it and select ‘Properties’.

To disable cloud saves, deselect the “Keep game saves in the Steam Cloud for Dragon’s Dogma 2” option.

Subsequently, proceed as follows to eliminate the save file:

If the game was installed in the default directory, navigate to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\33217548\2054970. folder. Delete the file in its entirety from that folder. “Remote” or “Remotecache” will be the names of the majority of these files.

Commence play of Dragon’s Dogma 2 by launching the game.

Re-enable Steam Cloud Saves in the Properties menu after launching a new game in order to preserve any future progress made during the game.

Conclusion

This method will merely serve as an alternative approach to commencing a new game, and it remains usable indefinitely until the developer of Dragon’s Dogma 2 issues an update simplifying the procedure.
