Mashle: Magic and Muscles - The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc
Crunchyroll revealed the English dub for the second season of the TV anime Mashle: Magic and Muscles – The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc, adapted from Hajime Kōmoto’s manga, on Friday. The dub premiered the following day.
The English dub cast features:
Mashle: magic and muscles season 2 premiered on January 6. The opening theme song, “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born,” is performed by Creepy Nuts, while Shiritsu Ebisu Chūgaku performs the ending theme song, “Tokyo’s Way.”
The anime’s first season debuted in Japan in April 2023, with Crunchyroll streaming the series as it aired, including an English dub.
Directed by Tomonari Tanaka, the anime is produced by A-1 Pictures. Yousuke Kuroda leads the series’ scriptwriting, while Hisashi Higashijima serves as the character designer. Masaru Yokoyama is tasked with composing the music.
The anime is categorized as a “complete” adaptation of the source material.
Originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine starting in January 2020, the manga concluded in July. Shueisha released the 18th and final compiled volume, along with a fanbook, on October 4. The franchise also includes various novels and a stage play adaptation.
VIZ Media’s Shonen Jump service and Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service publishes the manga digitally in English. Shueisha describes the manga as follows:
“This is a world of magic where magic is used for everything. But deep in the forest exists a young man who spends his time training and bulking up. He can’t use magic, but he enjoys a peaceful life with his father. But one day, his life is put in danger! Will his muscular body protect him from the magic users who are out to get him? Powerfully trained muscles crush magic as this abnormal magical fantasy begins!”
