Author TurtleMe’s Excitement for the Anime Adaptation
TurtleMe shared his thoughts on the adaptation:
“I’m excited to share that The Beginning After the End is becoming an anime on Crunchyroll. When I first started writing TBATE as a web novel years ago, I never imagined it would one day reach this point. This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support from every fan along the way. I can’t wait to celebrate the premiere next year with all of you, whether you’re a long-time reader or a new viewer.”
Mike Zhu, Head of Comic and Film & TV at Tapas Entertainment, added:
“We are incredibly excited to introduce The Beginning After the End as an anime, marking an exciting new chapter for both Tapas and this beloved series. This is a wonderful opportunity that allows us to share TBATE’s epic story with fans around the world in a whole new way. This collaboration represents a major milestone for us and US-created webcomics, and we can’t wait to see the excitement it sparks among our community and beyond.”
About The Beginning After The End
Originally a web book authored by TurtleMe with images by Fuyuki23, The Beginning After The End eventually underwent webtoon adaptation. Accessible on Yen Press in print and Tapas for digital readers, the series has grown to be a hit among readers of fantasy and reincarnation tales. Yen Press has released six volumes in English; the web book currently has 482 chapters—or 1465 episodes.
King Grey was a monarch with unparalleled wealth, power, and influence. Still, he felt hollow inside, without real direction even with his successes. Grey has an opportunity to change his destiny after reincarnation into a magical and monster-filled new planet. Underneath his apparently serene existence in his new environment, though, is a menace that might destroy all he has worked for and try his determination and challenge his second chance at life.
When the anime adaptation releases on Crunchyroll next year, fans should expect a fresh interpretation of this cherished story.
