Tencent Working on Mobile Version of “Elden Ring” Game

The big company Tencent is working on a mobile version of the super cool action RPG game called “Elden Ring.” And guess what else? It’s going to be free to play!

About “Elden Ring”

So, “Elden Ring” first came out in 2022 and it was a big hit. It sold about 20 million copies in just one year! The game was created by George R. R. Martin, the famous author of Game of Thrones, and Hidetaka Miyazaki, a really experienced game designer. In this game, you get to fight against all sorts of mythical monsters in a fantasy world.

The Mobile Version

Now, here’s the exciting part. Tencent wants to make a mobile version of “Elden Ring” that you can play for free! But wait, there’s a catch. They might have to add some things that you can buy in the game, kind of like in the popular game Genshin Impact. So, you can play for free, but if you want some extra stuff, you might have to spend some money.

Why the Redesign?

Here’s the thing, though. The mobile version of “Elden Ring” is going to be a bit different from the console version. You see, the console version has a lot of complicated stuff going on, and it’s not easy to make it work on mobile devices. So, Tencent is going to redesign the game to make it work better on phones and tablets.

What’s Next?

Now, I know you’re probably super excited to play “Elden Ring” on your phone, but here’s the thing. It’s going to take some time for the mobile version to be ready. So, we’ll have to be patient and wait for the official announcement and release. But hey, while we wait, you can check out another cool thing. FromSoftware, the company that made “Elden Ring,” is releasing a DLC called “Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree” for Android and iOS devices. So, you can still have some fun while we wait for the mobile version!
