The Converge FiberXers’ 747 Dota team went head-to-head with Barangay Ginebra’s Manta Esports, and guess what? The 747 Dota team came out on top! They won the championship title and the biggest share of the prize pool.
The Journey to the Finals
Before the finale, there were 163 teams that participated in the qualifying round back in November. Out of those teams, only 12 made it to the season proper. These teams were Blackwater Bossing Smooth Razor (Showbox), NorthPort Batang Pier (Alagad ni Balong), Meralco Bolts (Midnight Lambingan), San Miguel Beermen (Ragtag), Rain or Shine Elasto Painters (Team Bislog), NLEX Road Warriors (Team G), Terrafirma Dyip (Noir), Phoenix Super LPG (Sharks), Magnolia Hotshots (Team FX), TnT Tropang Giga (D-Roar Seed), Converge FiberXers (747 Dota), and Barangay Ginebra (Manta Esports).
The Semifinals
After surviving the single eliminations, the 12 teams moved on to the double eliminations in the season proper. In the semifinals, Manta Esports faced off against D-Roar Seed, while 747 Dota battled it out with Sharks. It was an intense best-of-three competition, but in the end, Manta Esports and 747 Dota emerged as the finalists.
The Thrilling Finals
The finals were a best-of-five showdown between 747 Dota and Manta Esports. It was a nail-biting competition, but 747 Dota managed to secure a 3-2 victory, making them the champions! Manta Esports put up a great fight and became the first runner-up.
The Winners
The 747 Dota team, made up of Marvin Boomy Rushton, Muhammad InYourdreaM Anugrah, Daud Db- Budiawan, Karl Karl Baldovino, and Jaunuel Jaunuel Arcilla, took home the top prize of 150,000 PHP.
Manta Esports, the first-place team, consisted of Carl Dric Ricafrente, Edjee Blu Icot, Jayquem Kimizu Gumalan, Dexmhalon Gohan Dignadice, Mohammed Kuch Almusally, and James Jameslord Garcia. They received 70,000 PHP for their outstanding performance.
