Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba returns for the eagerly awaited “Hashira Training” film, which marks the beginning of its special world tour. Unsurprisingly, the film debuted in Japan on February 2 and grossed more than $1 million on its first day of distribution!
What is “Demon Slayer Hashira Training”?
The third feature-length installment in the Demon Slayer anime franchise. It consists of footage from the one-hour premiere episode of the “Hashira Training Arc,” which will broadcast in the spring of this year, and the final episode of the third season.
Record-Breaking Opening in Japan
As part of its worldwide tour, the Hashira Training film debuted in Japan and subsequently dominated the box office across the nation. A day after receiving close to 70,000 submissions, the film debuted at number one, grossing approximately $1.3 million.
Despite failing to surpass the opening-day gross of $9.3 million achieved by its antecedent, “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train,” this performance remains commendable given the formidable competition posed by the release of Mobile Suit Gundam’s latest film.
